Craft Sewing is a hands-on, project-based course that introduces students to the timeless
techniques of cross-stitching, embroidery, and crocheting. This course is designed for self
motivated students of all skill levels, offering a comprehensive exploration of these
traditional crafts while encouraging personal creativity. Students will learn the
fundamentals of each technique, from basic stitches to more advanced designs, and will
have the opportunity to express their unique artistic styles through various projects. By
the end of the course, students will have gained practical sewing skills that they can
continue to develop beyond the classroom. This course will provide students with
opportunities to develop fine motor skills, practice patience and focus, and expand their
creative expression through sewing techniques. The students who register for this course
should be self motivated, independent workers.
Prerequisites: FACS, Life 101, or Fashion Design.
