This course is designed for students who want to further their knowledge of agriculture
science. Students will learn about plant science, soil science, entomology, public speaking,
careers, leadership, and welding. Students will become advanced in public speaking and
career readiness. It is required to be a member of FFA and develop plans for an SAE
project.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Agriculture Science I

This course includes the areas of food chemistry and nutrition, food additives, food
packaging and labeling, evaluation of foods, food microbiology, food processing, food
fermentation, principles of sanitation and quality control. Additional units will be taught in
careers, SAE, and leadership. It is required to be a member of FFA and have an SAE
project.
Dual Credit: Junior & Senior students may enroll for dual credit through Missouri State
University for college credit.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Agriculture Science I & II or be enrolled in Agriculture
Science II while also enrolled in Food Science.

This course prepares students for activities in the conservation and/or improvement of
natural resources such as oil, water, air, forests, fish and wildlife for economic and
recreational purposes. Projects could include taxidermy, deer project, hunter education
certification, boaters license, building fish lures, and so much more. Additional units will
be taught in careers, SAE, and leadership. It is required to be a member of FFA and have
an SAE project.

University for college credit.
